Beautiful Entertainer with Trivikram's mark

Trivikram Srinivas teamed up with Samantha for the third time in a row for 'A..Aa'. The film has Nithiin playing the lead. Anupama Parameswaran, Ananya, Nadiya, Rao Ramesh, Naresh etc play other key roles. This film has been released today. Let's see how the film is.

Mahalakshmi (Nadiya) is an entrepreneur and her daughter Anasuya (Samantha) gets fed up by her overinvolvement regarding everything in her life. So much so, she even tries to commit suicide. Anasuya's father (Naresh) takes her to her maternal grandfather's house, where she meets her bava Ananda Vihari (Nithiin) and falls in love with him. Mahalakshmi doesn't like Anand Vihari's family and a conflict arises. Pallam Venkanna (Rao Ramesh) and his daughter (Anupama Parameswaran) has also interesting roles to play in the story. The rest of the story is all about how Anand Vihari sorts out the problems and win his love.

Technical aspects

The production values are very good. The cinematography is top-notch and the country side locales are well-captured. The songs were also shot very beautifully. Music by Mickey J Meyer is very pleasing and the BGM is also good. The screenplay is very interesting though the story is not new.

Samantha gave one of her career best performances in this movie. She emotes well and in few scenes, her expressions are beautiful. Nithiin also did a wonderful job and this role will be a memorable one to him. Rao Ramesh excels once again. Naresh is very good as Samantha's father. Anupama Parameshwaran makes an impressive debut. Nadiya, Ajay and other actors also do well.

Plus points

Screenplay, dialogues and direction

Samantha and Nithin's performances

Music and BGM

Minus points

Few unnecessary scenes in second half

'A..Aa' is another feather in the cap of Trivikram. Though the story is not fresh, he excels regarding screenplay and beautiful dialogues. Samantha and Nithiin do a great job as a lead pair and the chemistry between them is also striking. Save for few cliched scenes in the second half, the film is very good and has beautiful moments.

'A..Aa' is a beautiful entertainer with Trivikram's mark. Must watch. Rating 3.5/5
