Raj Tarun's 'Andhhagadu', which has created a lot of pre-release buzz, has finally been released.Writer Veligonda Srinivas turned director with this movie, which has Hebah Patel opposite Raj Tarun. Produced by AK Entertainments, the banner which produced successful movies like 'Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam' and 'Kittu Unnadu Jagratha' with Raj Tarun, read on to know if the film will be a hat-trick hit for them together.
Raj Tarun's parents abandon him during his childhood since he is blind and he grows up in an orphanage for visibly disabled children. Though the children over there are blind, they are fun-loving and their warden (Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao) cares for them well. Raj Tarun grows up to be a smart guy. He works as a Radio Jockey. He is least concerned about his disability and instead woos girls. He also creates problems for his friend (Satya) in the process. Just when Raj Tarun is looking for the love of his life, he comes across Nethra (Hebah Patel), an eye doctor. He falls in love with her and so as to impress her, he hides his disability. After some funny and interesting incidents, Raj Tarun finds an eye donor and he gets his sight back. Just when he starts experiencing the colourful world, problems start for him. With the entry of Kulakarni (Rajendra Prasad), his life completely changes and a villain (Raja Ravindra) also enters. Watch the film for more.
The production values of AK Entertainments are top notch. The film has very good background score and the visuals are also very good. The songs have been placed well. The story is good and the screenplay is fun-filled. Veligonda Srinivas makes a good debut as director and he will sure enter the big league soon.
Raj Tarun is simply superb in the lead role. As a blind guy, he gives his career best performance. His comedy timing is perfect and he is good in a few sentiment scenes as well. He is effortless and gets into the role with ease. Hebah Patel looks very good and her chemistry with Raj Tarun is sizzling. Raja Ravindra is menacing in the role of the villain. This is his career best role as a villain. Rajendra Prasad in a surprising role is at his best. Satya's comedy is hilarious and Sudarshan also entertains. Sayaji Shinde, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao and others are good.
Story, Screenplay and direction
Generally, if the protagonist is blind, audiences expect a serious movie. But 'Andhhagadu' is very entertaining from the word go till the end. Though this is his debut movie, Veligonda Srinivas directs the movie very well.He comes up with an interesting story and wrote a fun-filled screenplay. He is supported well by the actors. Raj Tarun gives his career best performance. He has once again proved that he is an actor with a lot of potential. Hebah Patel's glamour is another highlight. There are very good twists as well. Rajendra Prasad plays a surprising role and Raja Ravindra plays his career best role as villain. The film is a full-on comedy entertainer.It is a complete paisa-vasool movie with a crisp run-time. Don't miss it.
