Well packed entertainer with good story

Sagar K Chandra, who received critical acclaim for the movie 'Ayyare', has directed the film 'Appatlo Okadundevadu'. Nara Rohith, apart from playing the lead in this movie, has also turned producer. Sri Vishnu played the other lead in this movie. Tanya Hope is the female lead. Sai Kartheek is the music director. Read on to know how the film is.


The film is set between 1992-96, when the political situation in the united Andhra Pradesh is quite unstable. Railway Raju (Sree Vishnu) is an aspiring cricketer. He is desperate to get a place in the Hyderabad Ranji team. Nooruddin Imtiaz (Nara Rohith) is a cop, who has his own way of dealing things. Imtiaz is on a mission to eliminate Naxals. On a fateful day, Raju gets arrested by the cops and he also gets framed in a murder later and the all the doors of being selected into the Ranji team gets closed. Why Raju gets arrested in the first place ? Why Imtiaz targets Raju ? Watch the film for more.


Sree Vishnu and Nara Rohit's performances are highlight of this movie. Sree Vishnu gets a bigger role compared to Rohit's. Both of them are very good. All the other actors do justice to their roles.

Technical aspects

As said earlier, the film is set between 1992-96 and the art work, cinematography are excellent. The background score is one of the highlights of the movie. The story, screenplay and direction by director Sagar K Chandra are good. He extracts good performances from actors and work from technicians.

Appatlo Okaundevadu has one of the best stories and screenplays in the recent times. It gives a very fresh feel and is very engaging. The set up, the performances and the direction are very good. The dialogues are also hard hitting. The cat and mouse game between an aspiring cricketer and a police officer was dealt well. The emotions are good.. The film has all the ingredients and is one of the best in Nara Rohith's career.
