Vijay Devarakonda, who rose to fame with the movie, 'Pellichoopulu', has now come up with 'Arjun Reddy', which has made unprecedented buzz in the recent past. Sandeep Reddy Vanga makes his debut as director with this movie, which has hit the theaters today (25th August). Read on to know if the movie lives up to all the hype around it.
Arjun Reddy (Vijay Devarakonda) is a hot-tempered medico, who becomes angry at the drop of a hat. He falls in love with Preeti, his junior. Both of them gets involved in an intense relationship. They decide to get married and Arjun tries to convince Preeti's father in vain. Preeti's father gets his daughter married to some other guy and this emotionally disturbs Arjun Reddy, who becomes a drug addict. Will Arjun Reddy get over his past ? Watch the film for more.
Vijay Devarakonda has given an outstanding performance in the role of Arjun Reddy. The way he emotes and his attitude post break-up are quite impressive. The talented young actor has once again proved his potential. Lyricist Rahul Ramakrishna plays Vijay's sidekick and his comedy timing is excellent. Kamal Kamaraju gets a good role to play.
The writing is very good. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has written the film very well. He has also designed the hero's character very well. The background score of the film is excellent. The cinematography is good.

But the family audiences may find it difficult to sit through the movie as there are many intimate scenes. For those who love fresh stories, the film will be a treat. All in all, the film will be a new trendsetter for coming of age films.
