Can 'Baahubali 2' beat 'Dangal' there ?May 15, 2017 06:11 AM
'Baahubali 2' may have emerged as the highest grossing Indian film and well on it's way to become the first film to gross Rs.1500 crores, but the film has a tough competition from an Indian film in China. Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' was released on 5th May in the country and has been doing extraordinarily.
This movie has occupied the No.2 spot at China box-office and the first weekend collections are more than Rs.81 crores, which is the highest ever for an Indian film in the first week. The previous best was by Aamir Khan's 'PK'.
'Baahubali 2' is yet to release in China. The film's first part, 'Baahubali: The Beginning', was released in China, but the box-office performance was poor. Now the makers are said to be planning to release the second part in July and are planning aggressive promotions.
As the first part didn't do well, will Chinese audiences lap up the second part, 'Baahubali 2' ? Will it cross the collections of 'Dangal', which is expected to collect Rs.80 crores more ? We will have to wait and see.
As SS Rajamouli is known to make impossible things possible, we can expect 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' to do wonders.
