Can Prabhas allot his dates for that film?Mar 24, 2016 03:55 AM
An interesting rumour is doing rounds in filmnagar now. According to the rumour mill, Gunasekhar, who was very impressed with Prabhas' performance in 'Baahubali', is said to have approached the actor to play the lead in 'Rudhramadev's prequel 'Prathapa Rudrudu'. The 'Mirchi' actor is yet to give his nod.
But Prabhas has been working very hard for 'Baahubali' for a few years and the second part will probably release next year. After the Rajamouli directorial, the actor has signed films, to be directed by Sujeeth, Radha Krishna and his uncle Krishnam Raju. If he signs Prathapa Rudhrudu, he will have to allot bulk dates for the film since Gunasekhar wanted the film to be much bigger than his earlier film. The Young Rebel Star's fans wanted him to do at least two films a year after 'Baahubali' and the actor will also consider if the audiences would love to see him repeatedly in historical films. So we will have to wait and see if Prabhas gives green signal to the 'Okkadu' director.
Gunasekhar is currently busy with the pre-production work of this movie and he has been researching for the project. Since budget was a problem for 'Rudhramadevi', he compromised in few areas. He doesn't want to repeat the few mistakes he had done and as per reports, he has also found a good producer, who is ready to shell out big bucks for the film.
