It is during this trip that something unexpected happens and the film takes a major turn. How Goutham finally finds himself in the journey into himself forms the rest of the story. What is the shade of Nanda ? What are Hansika and Catherine's characters ? Watch the film for more.
The cinematography of the film is brilliant. The visuals are very rich. Soundarrajan does a great job. The beauty of locations like Bangkok, Dubai etc were captured well. Thaman, who impressed with his music album, has also given a very good background score. The screenplay is interesting. The production values are grand.
Gopichand gives his best in the two shades, Gautham and Nanda. He looks ultra-stylish as a rich son and in mass role too he excels. Catherine plays a very glamorous role and she oozes oomph. Hansika though played a de-glam role looks very good in the songs. Sachin Khedekar, Tanikella Bharani and others are good. Bithiri Sathi, Vennela Kishore, Chalaki Chanti and other comedians entertain.
Gopichand's new look & performance
Lavish first half
Catherine Tresa glamour
Rich production values
Dragged Second half
Forced emotional scenes
'Goutham Nanda' is all about knowing one's 'real' identity. Sampath Nandi has written this story based on the writings of Sri Ramana Maharshi. He tries to convey the message that the real riches lies in oneself. But he has made the film with all the commercial elements. Gopichand excels in the two shades, Goutham and Nanda. Catherine Tresa and Hansika are beautiful. Bithiri Satti, Chalaki Chanti, Vennela Kishore and other comedians provide some comic relief in an otherwise serious plot. The film has some illogical scenes, but the director does a very good however with the story and the way he conveyed the message. The cinematography is brilliant and so is the background score. The film looks grand. The twists will thrill the audiences. All in all, Goutham Nanda is a good entertainer with a good message.
Good story with a message
