Gunasekhar's clarification on 'Prathapa Rudrudu' HeroMar 24, 2016 03:55 AM
Ever since Gunasekhar confirmed that he is going to direct 'Rudhramadevi' sequel 'Prathapa Rudrudu', gossip mill are abuzz with rumours that Prabhas is going to play the titular role in the film. The names of several other heroes like Mahesh Babu, NTR etc also popped up.
But the 'Okkadu' director requested the audiences not to believe in the rumours until an official announcement is made either by him or the actor. So the rumours would be put to an end for now.
Guna has already started the pre-production work of the movie and a lot of research is going to be done so that the film wouldn't deviate much from the original story of the ruler and he wanted to stick to the facts. Earlier Gunasekhar was criticized for taking creative liberties for 'Rudhramadevi'. He has shown Gona Gannareddy as a young man, whereas the original Reddy was old when he worked for Rudramadevi.
The film is expected to go on floors in the latter half of this year and Dil Raju will probably bankroll this project. So it would be interesting to see who is going to immortalize the powerful Prathapa Rudrudu on celluloid.
