Huge offer for Chiranjeevi's 150th film ?Jul 26, 2016 02:55 AM
Though they have incurred huge losses by buying the rights of some big films for astronomical prices, the overseas distributors are still banking on star power. If the reports are to be believed, an overseas distributor has offered Rs.12 crores for the rights of Chiranjeevi's 150th film. Ram Charan, the producer of the film, is still undecided on it.
Earlier, the overseas distribution rights of 'Brahmotsavam' were sold for Rs.13 crores and 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' fetched Rs.10.5 crores.
The phenomenal performance of 'Kabali' overseas might have made the distributors to bet big on Chiru's comeback movie, as there has been good hype around this movie. Currently, the shooting of Chiranjeevi's 'Kaththi' remake, directed by V.V.Vinayak, is going on in the surroundings of Hyderabad. The next schedule will be at a set erected at Nanakramguda. The heroine is not fixed yet.
