I've been approached for that role in Mahabharatha: NagarjunaJun 01, 2017 07:47 AM
Nagarjuna was visibly happy with the way 'Rarandoi Veduka Chuddham' has turned out. He is happy both as a producer and a father. He is quite confident that this family entertainer will be a memorable hit in the career of his son, Naga Chaitanya. On the eve of the film's release (26th May), Nag has interacted with the Tollywood media.
Excerpts from the interview
Over 100 times..
Kalyan Krishna is a director who knows the pulse of the audiences. He directed 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' very well and we felt he would be the right choice as the director for Naga Chaitanya at this point of his (Chaitu's) career. So we started the film. The film has turned out to be extremely good. I've watched it over 100 times in the editing room and I am very impressed. Family audiences will sure lap the film up well.
Lot of ease
Naga Chaitanya has acted with a lot of ease in this movie and he will sure impress the family audiences. He has a different approach towards his films. I sat with him and said it would be good if he does a good family entertainer at this point. He was convinced and acted in this movie. This film will sure be a turning point in his career.
About Samantha calling 'Mama'..
Samantha used to call me 'Sir' when we were working for 'Manam'. But she has become very close to our family now. She calls me 'Mama' as 'Maavayya' is too old fashioned (Laughs..)
We were surprised to see Rakul Preet Singh's performance in 'Rarandoi...'. Everyone will see a different Rakul in this movie. She will impress as Bramarambha...
It's true that I've been approached for Karna's role in Mohanlal's 'Mahabharatha'. I said to them that I will act in any role only if it has importance in the movie. I haven't decided on the offer yet. The idea was pitched about four years back.
I am very happy with the output of 'Rarandoi Veduka Chuddham' and have also decided to distribute the film in Nizam, Krishna and Vizag areas. It shows the level of my confidence on the film.
After watching the output of 'Raju Gari Gadhi 2', I asked the director to re-shoot some scenes for 10 days. I've been in discussions for a few more films and will let you know soon.
