It's Ram vs star heroOct 23, 2017 12:59 PM
Ram might have expected a solo release for his much anticipated film 'Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi'. But the postponement of 'Adirindhi', the Telugu version of Vijay's Tamil movie, 'Mersal', meant that the 'Kandireega' actor has to fight it out with the Tamil star at the box-office.
Sharrat Marar, who is bringing the Atlee directorial to the Telugu audiences, has confirmed that the film will be released on 26th October, just a day before the Kishore Tirumala starrer hits the screens. Though the Tamil version of the film opened to mixed talk, the film has been slowly emerging as a box-office winner with collections increasing day in, day out thanks to the positive word of mouth and also largely because of the publicity garnered through the controversies (read BJP vs Mersal controversy).
'Adirindhi' is said to be releasing in more than 400 screens in Telugu states, which is big for Vijay, who has relatively low fan base here compared to some of his Tamil counterparts. 'Baahubali' writer Vijayendra Prasad penned the screenplay for this movie, which has Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal and Nithya Menen as the leading ladies. AR Rahman scored the music.
On the other hand, Vunnadi Okate Zindagi has also been releasing amidst positive buzz. The songs and the trailer have garnered good appreciation. Ram has pinned hopes on this musical entertainer, which has Anupama Parameswaran and Lavanya Tripathi as the leading ladies. Produced by Sravanthi Ravikishore, this movie has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
