Jakkanna (Sunil) is one guy, who believes in giving back to people who helps him and is on search for a gangster named Bairagi (Kabir Singh), for whom he is indebted for saving his life once. He is also in love with Sahasra (Mannara Chopra). All the efforts of Jakkanna to impress Bairagi go in vain and annoy the latter. So much so, Bairagi decides to kill Jakkana. What is the reason behind his decision ? How does Jakkanna escape all this mess ? Does he win his love ? Watch the movie for the answers.
The music and the background score are good. The songs are well-picturized and the choreography is also good. The production values are rich. The dialogues are good. Editing is ok.
Sunil is back as a comedian. He entertains the audiences with his trademark body language and witty dialogues. His dance moves are also quite good. Mannara Chopra does a fine job as the leading lady. Saptagiri's comedy is the major highlight of the movie. Kabir Duhan Singh also gets a good role to play.
First half and interval block
'Jakkanna' has good comedy and mostly entertaining. But it is a typical commercial entertainer and may not go well with the discerning audience. The first half is good and the interval block is also executed well. But in the second half, the film seems to have been dragged. Sunil once again impresses. Sapathagiri's comedy is also one of the highlights of the movie. Sunil's wait for another good commercial hit after 'Maryada Ramanna' continues.
Jakkanna is for few laughs, a timepass entertainer.
