Nikhil, who has been surprising with his choice of scripts in the recent past, has come up a different thriller titled 'Keshava' this time. He teamed up with Sudheer Varma, who delivered 'Swamy Ra Ra', a turning point in Nikhil's career. The theatrical trailer has created curiosity and the film, which also stars Ritu Varma and Isha Koppikar, has been riding high on expectations. Keshava (Nikhil) suffers from a rare heart condition named Dextrocardia, due to which he has to remain calm and keep his cool, whatever may be the situation. If he gets carried away by the situation, his heart-rate increases and it can lead to his death. He falls in love with Ritu, who is a law student. Keshava has a past.His parents get killed and has to take revenge. How he manages to avenge the death of his parents by killing some people, remaining cool, though a cop (Isha Koppikar) is on his tail forms the rest of the story. 


Nikhil has given a very calculated performance. He keeps his emotions intact. Compared to his previous films, this is a very different role for him and he is excellent. Vennela Kishore, Priyadarshi, Satya and others entertain. Their comedy is good. After Pellichoopulu, Ritu Varma once again impresses with her performance. She looks beautiful as well. Isha Koppikar as a cop is very good. Anasuya’s voice suits her completely. The other actors also give good performances.

Technical aspects

The screenplay is tight and the film thrills. The concept and the execution by Sudheer Varma is very good. The visuals are very good and the cinematography by Diwakar Mani’s has done an excellent job. Sunny M R’s music is just about okay. Background score by Prashanth Pillai is very gripping. The production values by Abhishek Pictures are very good.

'Keshava' has a unique concept and the performance of Nikhil is the best in his career. The way Sudheer Varma has written the screenplay and the direction is very good. The film also has a good comedy by Vennela Kishore, Priyadarshi and Satya. The thrill factor in the movie is very good. The cinematography and background score are also highlights of this movie. All in all, Keshava is a very slick thriller.
