Kick 2 ReviewApr 21, 2016 06:38 AM
Movie Rating : 3
After the stupendous success of Race Gurram, director Surender Reddy collaborated with Ravi Teja again for Kick 2, the sequel to his previous successful venture Kick. Considering that the original had minted money at Box Office and even remade in Hindi by Salman Khan, there's a great buzz, attention on Kick 2. Without any delay, quickly check out our review of 161-minute long Kick 2.
Robinhood (Ravi Teja) is a US doctor who is on a mission to set up a super-specialty hospital by selling his ancestral properties in India. He comes to India where he falls for Chaitra (Rakul Preet). However, Chaitra has a past where her father was killed by Solomon Singh Takur (Ravi Kishan). Will Robinhood take revenge for his love? Will he and Chaitra both unite?
Ravi Teja is well-known for his energetic performance. However, he is just ok to the expectations. Rakul Preet is easy on eyes and does justice to her role. It's antagonist Ravi Kishan who came out of this damp squib with flying colours. Brahmanandam as Pandit Ravi Teja tickles few funny bones. But compared to his comedy in Kick, his funny scenes in sequel are passable and lacks that punch.
Ravi Kishan's power-packed performance
Brahmanandam Ashish Posani scenes
Ravi Teja energy as usual though little lethargic at places
Hero characterization in first half.
Predictable Story in second
Dragged scenes like kovai sarala and sudhir misra
Lethargic Screenplay in second half
Slow pace of movie
COPY CAT Notes :
A theater scene is a 100% copy of “100 days with Mr.Arrogant"
Bottom line :
Kick with just little comfort. Can watch for hilarious episodes in first half.
Final Verdict :
A LITTLE "COMFORT"ABLE MASS ENTERTAINER
