'King' Nagarjuna completes 30 glorious years in TFIJun 03, 2016 09:43 AM
What sets Nagarjuna apart from other actors is his hunger to do new roles and constantly reinvent himself. Though his market potential and mass appeal is less than his contemporaries like Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi, he commands a good following among the family audiences and women. 'King', as he is fondly called by his fans, the evergreen Manmadhudu completes 30 years in industry today (May 23rd). His first film, 'Vikram', released on the same day in 1983.
In his illustrious career, Nag tried many different characters and genres of films. Some of his notable films include 'Geethanjali', 'Shiva', 'Ninne Pelladatha', 'Annamayya', 'Manam' and the recently released 'Oopiri' to name a few. 'Geethanjali' was a path-breaking love story and remains in the hearts of Telugu movie lovers forever. 'Shiva' changed the path of the industry and created sensation. 'Annamayya' is considered as one of the greatest devotional films ever made in India. After few duds, it was with the beautiful entertainer 'Manam', Nag made his comeback and scored back to back hits 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' and 'Oopiri' after it.
'Oopiri' once again proved that Nag is indeed a 'Celluloid Scientist'. He is also doing great job as the host of "Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu". His career is going great guns currently and he is being considered as a competitor to his sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil.
Telugureporter.com congratulates Nagarjuna on completing 30 glorious years in Tollywood. Hope he continues to entertain us with many more different roles and films.
