Feel good entertainer

It's been a long time since Sumanth has scored a hit. The actor's last attempt in his banner, 'Naruda Donoruda', also failed at the box-office and the Akkineni hero is badly in need of a hit. 'Malli Raava' trailer has impressed and the film, directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, has hit the screens on 8th December. Read on to know how the film is.

Karthik (Sumanth) and Anjali (Aakanksha) fall in love as teenagers in 1999. But the girl's family doesn't approve of Karthik and they get separated. Cut to 2017, Karthik and Anjali meet in Hyderabad and needless to say, the love once blossoms. Just when they decide to get married, unexpectedly Anjali leaves Karthi and goes to USA. Why Anjali rejected Karthik ? Will they ever meet again ? Watch the film for more.

Sumanth has always been good in love stories and subtle roles. He once again puts in a very good performance. He is exceptionally good in emotional scenes. Aakanksha Singh is a very good performer and she is very apt for the lead actress role. Preethi Asrani, who played Aakanksha's teenage role and the boy, who performed Sumanth's younger version are good. The performances are very good.

Technical aspects

The music of the film is good. The background score has been used well. The cinematography is beautiful. The dialogues were written well. The director comes up with a feel good story and the direction is good.

Plus Points

Sumanth & Akanksha Performances

Feel good story

Minus Points

Slow paced narration

'Malli Raava' has a teenage love story and a matured love story. The patch-up after 13 years after a break-up, the emotions and every thing has been showcased well in the movie. The performances of the lead actors are very good. After a long time, Sumanth has acted in a proper love story and he is very good. Aakanksha Singh performed very well. Though the director has come up with a feel good story, the narration is slow paced and it may not go well with a section of the audiences. But if you like slow paced feel good films, it would be a good film to watch. On the whole, 'Malli Raava' is a feel good film. Watch it.
