Manchu Manoj condemns attack on producerAug 03, 2016 04:01 AM
Manchu Manoj condemned the attack on his 'Okkade Migilaadu' movie producer Achchi Babu in Vizag. Some junior artists attacked the producer alleging that their payments were not done and the local artists were not given chance to act in the movie.
Condemning the attack, Manoj said, "We have been shooting for 'Okkade Migilaadu' movie for a few days. We kept the details of this film under wraps as it revolves around a controversial subject. I play a person from LTTE in this movie and a huge set is erected here in Vizag for the shoot. This is producer Achchi Babu's first movie and it is very unfortunate that he was attacked by some junior artists. They should have approached the federation or powers that be if they have any problem regarding payment or something. But they attacked the producer in inebriated state. They have no federation cards with them and their behaviour is not good. I request the government to inquire on the incident".
On the other hand, the junior artists in the area say that they haven't attacked the producer in inebriated state and they only demanded their payment, which is being delayed by the producer for many days and their requests were being ignored as they were locals.
Complaints were filed against each other in the local police station and the investigation is going on.
