After producing a blockbuster entertainer like 'Pelli Choopulu', Raj Kandukuri has teamed up with another young director named Vivek Athreya for the movie, 'Mental Madhilo'. Talented actor Sree Vishnu played the lead in this movie and Nivetha Pethuraj debuts in Telugu. Read on to know if the producer and Suresh Babu, who presents the film, scored one more hit together.
Since his childhood, Aravind Krishna (Sree Vishnu) is shy, confused and double-minded. He finds it very tough to choose between options So much so, he opts to leave a multiple choice question without answering than selecting any one of the answers. As he grows up and gets a job in a company, he feels it's a herculean task to talk to girls. His parents get irritated with the attitude of Aravind and decides to get him married. Many reject Aravind, but Swetcha (Nivetha Pethuraj) finds him interesting and agrees to marry him. Both of them get close, but when Renu (Amrutha) enters Aravind's life and he gets attracted to her, the real confusion in his life starts. How Aravind deals with this confusion, steers clear of it and whom does he marry finally forms the rest of the story.
Sree Vishnu is spot on as a confused guy. Since he is also an introvert in real life, he gets to play the role with perfection. Nivetha Pethuraj is an excellent performer and she is perfect in the role. She has a long way to go in Tollywood. Amritha also gives a very good performance. Shivaji Raja, Raj Madiraju and others are very good in their roles.
Director writes an beautiful story and the screenplay is interesting. Though it is not completely engaging in the second half, director engages the audiences with the dialogues and narration. The background score is good. The cinematography is good.

'Mental Madhilo' is a new age love story of a confused guy, who has to overcome his inhibitions and decide his life partner. Sree Vishnu is perfect in the lead role and it is Nivetha Pethuraj, who surprises with her beautiful performance. Director Vivek Athreya has come up with a beautiful story and he portrays the emotions very well. The film's story is simple, but is engaging. Watch it.
