Naruda Donaruda Movie ReviewNov 16, 2016 07:49 AM IST
After back to back failures, Sumanth has gone off the radar and now he is back with 'Naruda Donoruda', the remake of Bollywood film 'Vicky Donor'. The title and trailer have created good buzz and the film, which also features Pallavi Subhash and Tanikella Bharani, has been finally released amid rumours that it has been postponed again. Let's see how the film is
Dr.Anjaneyulu (Tanikella Bharani) is a fertility expert, who runs a sperm bank. Though he assures good quality sperm for couples, most of the time he fails to deliver it. He comes across Vicky (Sumanth) and finds that he is the donor he is looking for. Vicky, a happy go lucky guy, though initially reluctant agrees to become a sperm donor so that he can earn quick money. Vicky falls in love Ashima (Pallavi Subhash). Eventually, Vicky gets into a problem and how he goes about solving it forms the rest of the story.
Sumanth does a decent job in his role. His comedy timing is very good and he also performed well in emotional scenes. Heroine Pallavi looks odd in many scenes. The romantic track is also not so interesting. Tanikella Bharani plays a very hilarious role and he is excellent as always. Veteran comedy actress, Sri Lakshmi as Sumanth’s mother is good. Suman Shetty as Dr Anjaneyulu’s compounder is good.
The songs and BGM are above average. Dialogues are good. But the film has many double meaning dialogues. The production values are good. The cinematography is decent. The screenplay is not nice. The makers could have worked on it a little more. Director Mallik Ram has done a below average job with the film.
Dialogues & Comedy
The editing should have been better
Naruda Donoruda is a faithful remake. But not so engaging. An Ok watch. The concept of sperm donation seems fresh to Telugu audiences, who haven't watched 'Vicky Donor'. The first half is a fun ride with good dialogues and performances. The scenes between Sumanth and Tanikella Bharani are very funny and are written well. The climax of the film is quite emotional and ends the film well.
Naruda Donoruda - Ok watch
