Oka Manasu Movie ReviewJul 05, 2016 06:50 AM
Mega Princess Niharika Konidela has made her silver screen debut with 'Oka Manasu', which has been released today. Naga Shaurya played the lead in this movie, directed by Ramaraju of "Mallela Theeram Lo Sirimalle Poovu" fame. There has been much hype around this project right from the launch. Media giant TV9 also ventured into production with this movie, co-produced by Madhura Sreedhar. Let's see if the movie lives up to the hype.
Surya (Naga Shaurya), a young politician, aims to become a MLA and his father (Rao Ramesh) supports him. Sandhya (Niharika), a medico, comes to the same village for training at government hospital. She falls in love with Surya at the first sight and after some time even Surya falls in love with her. In a shocking turn of events, Surya gets jailed. He gets released from jail after three years. But Sandhya's father refuses to get her daughter married to Surya. The rest of the story is all about whether the pair wins their love or not. There are interesting twists and turns in the story.
The production values are good. Music and background score by Sunil Kashyap are excellent. Especially, the BGM is the soul of this romantic entertainer. Cinematography is good.
Niharika's performance is good and she emotes well in the emotional scenes. This is a good launch for her in movies. Naga Shaurya steals the show with his superb performance. He is excellent. Rao Ramesh once again gives a memorable performance and his dialogues are very good. Srinivas Avasarala and others performances are fine.
Naga Shaurya and Niharika's performances
Rao Ramesh and other's performances
'Oka Manasu' is a good love story with very good performances. Naga Shaurya is very impressive and his chemistry with Niharika is striking. Niharika makes an impressive debut. But the narration is slow and it may not be liked by a section of audiences. If you ignore the slow pace, you would end up liking it.
'Oka Manasu' is slow, but a feel good love story.
