Pellichoopulu Movie ReviewAug 03, 2016 12:40 PM
Though it is a small movie, 'Pellichoopulu' has been making good buzz ever since the first teaser was out. After Suresh Babu acquired the theatrical rights of the movie, the hype around the movie reached a new level. Vijay Devarakonda and Ritu Varma, who earlier acted in 'Yevade Subramanyam', acted as the lead pair in this movie, directed by Tarun Bhaskar. So, how is the movie. Read on to find out.
Prashanth (Vijay Devarakonda) wants to become a chef, though he is highly educated and needless to say, he becomes a source of worry to his father, who tries to get him married. Vijay's alliance is fixed with Chitra (Ritu Varma) but at 'Pellichoopulu', the latter says that she doesn't want to get married and instead wants to start a food truck business. He decides to get married to another girl, but this time the girl's father says that he would agree to their marriage only when Vijay gets settled in life starting his own business. The rest of the story is about how destiny brings Prashanth and Chitra together and how they become partners both in business and life.
Technically, the film is excellent. The narration is flawless and the film is brilliantly made. Director Tarun scores brownie points with his first film and he is here to stay. Vivek Sagar's Background score and the cinematography make the film a treat to watch.
After 'Yevade Subramanyam', Vijay Devarakonda once again impresses. He has ease in acting and looks very good. Ritu Varma also does a brilliant job. She looks gorgeous and performs very well. The chemistry between the lead pair is striking. Priyadarshi, who plays hero's friend, leaves the audiences in splits with his dialogues. All the actors are good.
Screenplay and direction
'Pellichoopulu' is a well executed film with brilliant performances, superb direction, neat entertainment, beautiful music and visuals. The film is one of the best romantic comedies in the recent times and audiences would leave the theaters with a smile on their faces. Credit goes to the director for making the film so beautifully. The story gets predictable and the film has a few negatives. But they are negligible compared to the entertainment it provides. All in all, it is a very beautifully made movie and shouldn't be missed.
'Pellichoopulu' is a beautiful rom-com. Must watch.
