He romanced Lavanya Tripathi in this movie, produced by BVSN Prasad, the producer of big ticket films like 'Chatrapathi', 'Attartintiki Daaredi' and 'Nannaku Prematho'. Read on to find out if the film will be another hit for Sharwanand.
Radha Krishna (Sharwanand) is a devotee of Lord Krishna. Since his childhood he respects police and grows up to be a cop. He is fun loving and he falls in love with Lavanya. He gets transferred to Hyderabad and there he gets into a tussle with a Home minister(Ashish Vidyarthi) 's man Friday.Due to an aspiring Chief minister (Ravikishan)'s rivalry with Home minister, a bomb blast happens and many cops get killed. Radha decides to take revenge. How he avenges the death of his fellow cops is what the rest of the story all about
Radhan's music is Ok, but the background score is good. The cinematography by Karthik Ghattamaneni is excellent.Every single frame looks beautiful and his work is topnotch. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao's editing is good. The production values deserve a special mention. Debutante Chandramohan has played a safe game. Instead of going for a fresh subject, he has chosen a routine commercial subject. His narration is good though. The film is formulaic to the core.
Sharwanand's performance, especially his comedy timing, is the major highlight of the film. His performance will be liked by the mass audiences. He is good in emotional scenes as well. Lavanya Tripathi oozes sex appeal more than all her previous films. She also performs well. Another heroine Aksha Pardasany was also good . The main antagonist Ravi Kishan plays a role similar to the role he played in Race Gurram, but he does complete justice to his part. Shakalaka Shankar and Sapthagiri’s comedy has worked out. The Nannaku Prematho spoof by Saptagiri is very hilarious.
Weak second half
Overall, Radha movie has a predictable story line but has good entertainment right from the word go till the end. The film is like a tribute to the cops, who have sacrificed their lives for people. The story is predictable and the scenes might remind you of many films, but the performances and the comedy are good. All in all, the film is an OK entertainer.
Radha - OK Entertainer
