One Time Watch

'Raja Cheyyi Vesthe' is one of the films which created curiosity in the recent times. Nara Rohit plays the lead in this movie and ever since the news was out that Nandamuri Taraka Ratna is playing the villain, the film started making buzz. Sai Korrapati produced the film under Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram banner. Pradeep Chilukuri is being introduced as the hero. This film has hit the marquee today. Read the review to know how the film is.

Raja Ram (Nara Rohit) is an aspiring director, brimming with exciting ideas. He narrates stories to many producers, but in vain. He waits for one chance to make it big in the industry. On the other hand, Manik (Taraka Ratna) is a barbaric goon, who does anything and everything for money. Impressed with the story narrated by hero to his love interest (Isha Talwar), an anonymous person contacts Raja Ram to pen a love story for his movie. How does that offer change the life of the protagonist forms the rest of the story.

Nara Rohit is good in the role of protagonist and he impresses. Taraka Ratna looks menacing in the role of villain and was presented well by the director. He is very good in few scenes, but he has to improve. Isha Talwar is good. Srinivas Avasarala, Sivaji Raja, Rajeev Kanakala, Raghu Karumanchi etc do justice to their roles.

Technical aspects

The cinematography of the film is good. The action sequence in graveyard was shot very well. The background score by Sai Kartheek elevates few scenes, but the songs are forgettable. The story is beaten to death and even the screenplay is not so interesting. But the dialogues are good.

Plus points

Nara Rohit and Taraka Ratna

Fight at graveyard

Minus points

Routine story and screenplay

The story of 'Raja Cheyyi Vesthe' has nothing new to offer. The director is good regarding technicalities, but the screenplay falters. Some of his ideas are very good but he seems to have focused much on presentation than penning a new script. Nara Rohit and Taraka Ratna are impressive. The dialogues are good. All in all, the film is an ok watch.

'Raja Cheyyi Vesthe' is a one time watch. Rating 3/5
