'Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam' Movie ReviewJun 01, 2017 07:48 AM
Naga Chaitanya has so far acted in urban romantic entertainers or mass entertainers. But for the first time he has acted in a complete family and romantic entertainer titled 'Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam'. This movie, produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni, has Rakul Preet Singh playing a village belle named Bramarambha. Devi Sri Prasad's songs have become instant chartbusters. Jagapathi Babu and Sampath play important roles in this movie. Read on to know how the film is.
Shiva (Naga Chaitanya) is a guy from Vizag. He comes across Bramarambha (Rakul Preet) at his brother's (Vennela Kishore) marriage in a village and instantly falls in love with her. Bramarambha is an innocent and at the same time arrogant girl. She has some dreams about how her husband should be. Bramarambha comes to Vizag for her MBA and there once again Shiva tries to woo her. Though hesitant at first after some interesting turn of events, Bramarambha also falls in love with him. Both of them decided to marry. But Shiva's father (Jagapathi Babu) and Bramarambha's father (Sampath) have some issue in the past and it creates problems for the pair. How Shiva finally resolves the issue and marries Bramarambha is what the rest of the story all about.
Naga Chaitanya is at a lot of ease in this movie, compared to his previous movies. For the first time, he tried a full-fledged family entertainer and he is very good. His chemistry with Rakul Preet is good and his scenes with Jagapathi Babu, who plays is dad, have also come out well. Rakul Preet as Bramarambha played a very different role compared to her earlier movies. She looks like a Telugammaayi in half sarees and she has performed very well. She is very good in emotional sequences. Jagapathi Babu and Sampath are very good in their roles. Once again, Vennela Kishore tickle the audiences' funny bones. Other actors like Chalapathi Rao, Annapurnamma and others have performed well.
The production values of Annapurna Studios are excellent. The film has grand visuals. Devi Sri Prasad's songs are very good and the they were shot beautifully. The background score is very good as well. The story is not new, but the screenplay is good. The dialogues were written well. Cinematography by SV Vishweshwar’s has done good job. The action sequences were choreographed well.

Little lag in first half
Rarandoi Veduka chuddham is a clean family entertainer with good romance, decent comedy, sentiment and action. The other side of Naga Chaitanya has been explored and he is very good. But it's Rakul Preet Singh, who is a surprise package. She gives her career best performance as Bramarambha. The family scenes, especially the father-son, father-daughter scenes were good. The story is not New, but the treatment and direction of Kalyan Krishna are good. Devi Sri Prasad's music is another highlight.
