Rs.20 Crores for a Set

Apr 06, 2016 06:49 AM Robo 2.0

The producers of '2.0 - The sequel of Robo' have already announced that the budget of the film is around Rs.350 crores, which is the highest ever for an Indian film. Now the amount they have shelled out for a set proves that they are indeed spending so much on the movie.

A set is being erected in the surroundings of Chennai for the movie and it costs a staggering Rs.20 crores. Directors like RGV would complete five or six (or even more) films with this amount. This is a hint that the Shankar directorial is going to be a visual feast. Though the director's last film 'I' didn't do well as expected and ended up as a loss venture, it doesn't stop him from thinking big.

Akshay Kumar is playing the baddie in this film. The film is being produced by Lyca International, which earlier produced Vijay's 'Kaththi' and are going to co-produce Chiranjeevi's landmark 150th movie.
