Sardar Gabbar Singh Movie ReviewApr 21, 2016 06:38 AM
Pawan Kalyan's most anticipated movie 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' hits the marquee today. There has been much hype and hoopla around this Bobby directorial before the release and the film released amid sky-high expectations. Does the movie live up to the expectations ? Let's see.
Gabbar Singh (Pawan Kalyan) gets transferred from Hyderabad to state called Rattanpur where Bhairon Singh (Sharad Kelkar), a cruel landlord, oppresses people. Arshi (Kajal Aggarwal), the princess, is reduced to a mere spectator to Bhairon's barbaric acts. How does the protagonist come to the rescue of the villagers ? What about his love story with the princess ? What are the twists and turns in the plot ? Watch the film for the answers.
Pawan Kalyan is the biggest strength of the film. He carries the film on his shoulders and does a very good job. As usual, he is good in action sequences, comedy and romance. He also tried some energetic dance moves and his Veena Step is going to be a treat for mega fans. Kajal Aggarwal looks very beautiful and does a good job. Brahmanandam and even Prudhvi, who is being considered as the former's replacement, fail to evoke any laughter. Sharad Kelkar, Sanjjana Galrani, Mukesh Rishi, Pradeep Rawat etc are ok.
The production values of the film are excellent. Devi Sri Prasad's BGM is one of the biggest assets of the film. He is at his best. The songs are well-picturized. Bobby does his best to direct the story provided by Pawan Kalyan.

Story and Screenplay
'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' is Pawan Kalyan's one man show. This is a film only for his fans and they would love his style, performance and also dances. But it wouldn't impress others. Though Bobby tries his best, the story and screenplay are a big let down. The first half is good compared to the second half. All in all, 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' doesn't repeat the magic of 'Gabbar Singh'.
Only for Pawan Kalyan fans
