Savitri Movie ReviewApr 21, 2016 06:38 AM
Nara Rohit teamed up with Pavan Sadineni of 'Prema Ishq Kadhal' fame for 'Savithri'. Nanditha played the female lead in this movie. Dhanya Balakrishna, Srimukhi, Ajay, Murali Sharma etc play other key roles. The film released today amidst good expectations. Let's see how the film is.
Savithri (Nanditha) is from a traditional family and Rishi (Nara Rohith) falls in love with her at the first sight when he sees her in some unexpected situations. Rishi expresses his love to her immediately. Does Savithri reciprocate his love ? What will Rishi do to win his love forms the rest of the story.
Nara Rohith is effortless in the role of Rishi and he impresses once again. Nanditha fits the bill. She emotes well. Murali Sharma as heroine's father is very good. Satyam Rajesh and Shakalaka Shankar's comedy leaves the audiences in splits. Srimukhi and Dhanya Balakrishna look very beautiful and do a good job. Ajay, Posani Krishna Murali and others do justice to their roles.
Sravan's background score is better than the songs. "What to do Savithri' song is good. Cinematographer did a good job. Though this is only his second film, Pavan Sadineni did a very good job. The way he narrated the story is very impressive.
Nara Rohith and Nanditha's performances
Shakalaka Shankar and Satyam Rajesh's comedy
Srimukhi and Dhanya Balakrishna's glamour
Little drag in the second half
'Savitri' is well-packaged entertainer with ample dose of comedy and sentiment. Though the story is not new, director narrates it well. Save for a little drag in the second half, the film is very entertaining and audiences would love it.
'Savitri' is a paisa-vasool entertainer. Watch it.
