Sunil wants to set an exampleMar 24, 2016 03:55 AM
A young man from Bhimavaram dreamed big. Though he never wanted to be a lead actor, he always wanted to showcase his dancing skills like his favourite hero Chiranjeevi. He first became a comedian, with the encouragement of his writer friend. Though he had no opportunity to present his dancing skills, the roles created by his friend during his initial years in the industry made him a comedian to reckon with.
He is Sunil and his friend is writer turned director Trivikram Srinivas. Like many other actors, even Sunil struggled a lot to get a chance in the industry. After getting a chance, he never looked back. At one point of time in his career, he became a star comedian and used to appear in every other film. A film would become a hit if the director uses him well. He enjoyed popularity on par with star heroes and was the most wanted comedian then. Though he acted as hero in 'Andhala Ramudu', he continued playing comic roles.
But with 'Maryada Ramanna' he turned a full time hero. Though he was criticized for not accepting comic roles, he didn't take criticism seriously as has a clear vision. At a time when many big heroes were being monotonous and were reluctant to hit the gym, Sunil inspired many by working very hard for six pack abs. From being a busy comedian, now he hardly makes a film a year. But he is happy that he now gets more time to spend with his family.
Though there was pressure on him to accept comedian roles, he wants to set an example by making it big. His upcoming film is 'Krishnashtami', which is releasing tomorrow and he has 'Eedu Gold Ehe' in pipeline. 'Krishnashtami' has positive vibes around it. Let's hope the film turns out to be a huge hit and catapults Sunil to stardom as a lead actor.
