RGV is set to start yet another gangster film. After much deliberation, he has finalized Vivek Oberoi in 'Rai', which will be based on the life of Muthappa Rai, the dreaded Kannada gangster. Varma initially wanted to rope in Sudeep for the lead role, but since things didn't fall into place he has to go with Vivek.
Muthappa Rai will launch the first look of the film on May 1st, which is his birthday. The film will also be launched on the same day and the film will be shot extensively in Bangalore, Mangalore, Mumbai, London and Dubai. The film will be a mulilingual, which will be made in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada. C.R.Manohar will bankroll the project.
It is interesting as to how RGV is managing to do so many films simultaneously. He already announced that Veerappan's biopic will be released on May 27th. He has also 'Government' and 'Vangaveeti in pipeline.
Vivek Oberoi and RGV earlier joined forces for super hit movies like 'Company' and 'Raktha Charitra'.
